We have just received another load of garden antiques ! Many are from Europe, some are from the U.S., all are incredibly beautiful. I think they add a layer of beauty to the nursery that won’t be found elsewhere. This also applies to the home gardens of our clients. A well-placed bench or vintage urn is what ‘makes’ a garden corner special. There is nothing contrived or affected about these types of ornament. They are (for the most part) quietly beautiful , unlike the bronze elephants, leap-frogging children or marble polar bears to be seen around town…..
Cast iron cutie ! American, 1920. 43″ x 18″ x 30″ $1200.00
‘Horseshoe’ bench . American, 1920. It measures 45″ x 18″ x 35″ and is priced at $1295.00

I have a real weakness for old benches. We have about eight or ten in stock now. Creating a place to sit is important in the garden. Think of all the public parks and famous gardens…. there is always a bench just where you would like to sit and rest. Set up a situation at home to enjoy the vision you have created, or to envision what could be all around you !
We also have a great bunch of antique urns in stock. Lead, marble or cast iron….. these are the real thing ! The huge iron urns (top photo) are American, They were made by the Fiske Ironworks of New York City around 1880. They are 40″ tall and very ‘crusty’ with a wonderful patina . The pair is $4500.00 . The lead pots are from England . They are very heavy – pure lead – and decorated with ‘putti’ (cherubs). They measure 12″ x 12″ are are priced at $1200.00 for the pair. The marble urns are from France . I wish they could talk……they measure 23″ x 19″ ( big!) are are priced at 2800.00 for the pair.
This pastry table is exquisite . It is the first one I’ve seen with the upper shelf, let alone still intact. These tables are always expensive – I’ve admired them for decades. This one measures 24″d x 39″ w x 43″ H and is priced at…….call me.
The cutest little fountain in the whole country has to be this cast iron one. it is American, probably late 1800′s. I want it. It measures 30″ tall by 16″D bowl and just might be priceless…..
We had several sundials in stock, but they sell surprisingly fast. This one comes with a cast ‘stone’ base and is priced at $650.00
I couldn’t resist this lovely patio table. Just the right size and height to put a drink or snacks on….It is weatherproof and already rusted. It may be made in the U.S., I am not sure….. it measures 25″ x 30″ x 28″H and is priced at $1250.00 .
These old wrought iron fences would make a cute border around a small garden. They once went on graves in France. I didn’t steal them ! They measure 26″ x 60″ (people were smaller then !) and are priced at &$750.00 each
A particularly nice American wire -work bench . in remarkable condition, being from the early 1900′s. It measures 55″ x 24′ x 34″ and is priced at $1295.00
Wire work plant stands are under-appreciated ! They are the perfect way to display favourite pots and plants. We have several old ones like these. Some are in better condition than others, these two aren’t bad. Each measures 48″W x 24″ D x 42″H and are priced at $795.00 each .
