Our container from France has arrived !
Wow – are these new pots from Anduze, France ever beautiful ! We have imported them twice before, but never such huge ones ! They are all handmade in Provence, and the larger sizes are frostproof. Colours range from aged biscuit patina to crusty emerald, turquoise, denim blue and drippy mustard shades. Pots like these are an inspiration to plant creatively. I wrote extensively about this in my book ‘The Jewel Box Garden’ . I called it ‘Investment Potting’ . By investing in containers that you love , you will find it easier to create combinations that are creative, unusual, and worthy of their vessel.
I think we imported every size of these pots that they make ! We have little ones for houseplants…. medium ones of various sizes for the front porch, and giant ones for statement/jaw-dropping ‘incidents’ where one is needed. Because of the drop in the value of the Euro, prices are down significantly . A pot that was $700.00 last time is now $495.00 . Hard to believe, but it is true.
Drop in soon to see these beauties. They are not all ‘out’ yet, so if you are really interested, ask to see them all!
