Just when you think you’ve seen it all, something new shows up on the plant scene. We regularly buy at our local ‘Dutch Auction’ at 5 A.M. At that early hour, it is startling to encounter something like these cyclamen ! I know I’ve never seen them there before…. and I started going in 1975.
The foliage is incredible on these plants ! Oh, they have strange flowers, too. The flowers are very krinkly and held on very erect, tall stems. I wonder what genetic make- up created them, and where ? As the flowers open, they appear more ‘normal’ than when in the bud stage, but are still very different from other indoor cyclamen strains. I do not detect any fragrance in them.
For $4.99 each, these are perfect for a cool, bright windowsill or protected (and above freezing) on the front porch.
